AAAAHH, The Good Life

Things are really picking up! I have got two, no three more clients on the roster. A bad-ass Karate dojo, a cool Pilates studio, and a really exciting open source auto project. ...
Wikispeed- This is the coolest thing I have seen in a really long time. I was introduced to a guy named Rob a few weeks back. Rob has this awesome project that takes the open sourcing idea of design and production, and applies it to building an automobile. This isn't just a regular car though, it's a sports car with modular body designs (in progress) a Honda sourced engine mounted transverse and rear, supported by modular suspension and oh yeah, it gets 100 miles per gallon. Say what?! Yeah this thing is going to revolutionize the auto industry, or at least spark some serious debate about how cars should be conceived. I was down at the garage today to get some behind the scenes footage of the Dicovery Channel Canada's shoot on the car. I can't actually publish anything to this blog, or any other outlet until after the episode aires (i'll let you know). But all in all things are going well for The Incasters. Holler if ya hear me! Peace.

Hot Damn! The Socail Incast Media WEBSITE is up and running!

After working diligently to get my site up, I have achieved launch! While it may not be the best website on our intricate web, its definitely the most "mine". Except for my Facebook. and twitter, and myspace, oh and this blog. Please check it out and give me some helpful hints or harassments.
I am going to meet up with an ex-coworker tomorrow and try to land a big account with a major car dealership. Got the fingers crossed!

Facebook management.

As a part of my contract with the fantastic restaurant, Novilhos Brazilian STeakhouse, I am gussying up their Facebook page. I am adding some more photos, a landing page, custom profile pic etc... This is a necessity for small businesses trying to grow and keep a solid relationship with their customers. Novilhos is  getting Incast!

Working on another project!

Finished with the first stage of shooting on Novilhos web commercials a few days ago. I will be heading back over there this Friday to get some footage of the Happy Hour. Should be fun! They usually make me a couple of caipirinha (sort of a Brazilian Margarita) as well as feed me some of their bomb Brazilian Bar-b-que! Yum!

Don't call it a comeback! cause we are new...

Hello World! Thank you for checking out the blog for Social Incast Media! We are a young company of creative minds stretched across the nation. Our main office is in Seattle, with contributors in Oklahoma City, and Los Angeles.
My name is Joshua A. Hicks and I am the founder of Social Incast Media. I worked for many years on big scale productions in Hollywood and around the world, but was never really content. I guess I'm too much of a country boy.
I come from a small town in Oklahoma (hollah back Poteau!) which was once ranked in the top 100 best small towns. Over time our industry left to China, and our Mom-N-Pops all but dried up thanks to big box stores like Wal-Mart and Blockbuster, leaving Poteau to be just another town struggling to keep it's identity among the parking lots. I noticed the same thing happening all over the country, in areas big and small. Maybe I'm nostalgic, but I miss the days of small businesses, from greasy spoons to fine dining, from dentist offices to driving ranges. Businesses that represent a family dream, not corporate profit margins.
I decided to put my years of production knowledge to good use! I formed Social Incast Media with the goal of offering small to mid-sized businesses the chance to have branding and advertising materials with the look and polish of a big budget campaign, but at an affordable price. I am able to shoot small scale video with certain production techniques I learned in the major studios to get a stunningly cinematic look. I also have connections with great graphic designers, and web gurus that work with me to design social media campaigns that drive customers to the little guys, not just the companies that drop millions on advertising.
In short- Social Incast Media is leveling the playing field. Look out Goliath!
